Hey Fever Drops

A homoeopathic medicine which assists with hay fever and similar types of allergies.

Streaming eyes, red itchy eyes, sneezing, post nasal drip due to hay fever, itching at back of throat and in ears.

Mode of action

  • Paloonda (Larrea mexicana), Galphimia glauca, Luffa operculata and Aralia racemosa: are effective in the treatment of hay fever, allergic rhinitis and allergic asthma.
  • Ammi visnaga: counteracts spasms of the smooth muscles, also those in the respiratory system, and thereby assists in relieving asthmatic coughing.
  • Cardiospermum: is used in the treatment of allergies, especially skin allergies.
  • Okoubaka aubrevillei: is used traditionally in relieving respiratory allergies.

Ingredients

Ingredient Homeopathic Clinical Indication*
Ammi visnaga D1 (Visnaga) A remedy with vasodilation and bronchodilatory action.
Aralia racemosa D2 (American spikenard) Nasal and respiratory obstruction worse in springtime with severe hay fever and frequent sneezing which is set off by the least movement of cold air. Excessive watery, burning nasal discharge with salty acrid taste. Hay fever with allergic/asthmatic coughing and shortness of breath when lying down.
Cardiospermum halicacabum D2 (Balloon vine) Sneezing, congestion and blockage of the nose and sinuses with burning pain in eyes especially at night with excessive tearing of the eyes. Allergic skin conditions triggered by medicines, detergents or insect stings.
Galphimia glauca D3 (Galphimia) Excessive mucous production from the mucous membranes of the eyes and nose with sneezing and swelling of the eyelids. Also indicated for urticarial skin eruptions and allergic eczema and bronchial asthma.
Larrea mexicana D3 (Paloondo) Allergic reactions with excessive sneezing and puffiness of the face on waking up.
Luffa operculata D6 (Esponjilla) Inflammation of the mucous membranes of the nasal cavity with swelling or atrophy causing ‘sinus headaches’. Violent sneezing and itching inside the nose, white or yellow discharge in the morning but clear during the day. Allergic nasal symptoms are worse in warm stuffy rooms and better in open air.
Okoubaka aubrevillei D2 (Okoubaka tree) Allergy to tobacco smoke and hypersensitive to smells. Allergic conditions of the eyes and allergic rhinitis.

Dosage

Suggested for acute treatment of allergies or preventatively as a form of desensitisation for a few weeks prior to allergy season.

Adults and children over 12 years:
Take 10 drops or 2 tablets, 3 times daily, 15 minutes before meals, on, or directly under the tongue or the 10 drops in a teaspoon of water.

Children 6-12 years:
Take 5 drops or 1 tablet three times daily, 15 minutes before meals, on, or directly under the tongue or the 5 drops in a teaspoon of water.

Children 2-6 years:
Take 2 drops three times daily, 15 minutes before meals in a teaspoon of water, on, or direclty under the tongue.

In acute/severe cases:
Take respective number of drops hourly, gradually reducing frequency as improvement occurs, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
