Drops for nervousness and restlessness

A homoeopathic medicine for the relief of nervousness, nervous exhaustion and insomnia. Nervousness, nervous exhaustion, sleeplessness due to nervousness, restlessness.

Mode of action

  • Lupulinum (Glandulae lupuli), Zincum valerianicum and Passiflora incarnata: are used in the treatment of sleeplessness associated with nervousness.
  • Avena sativa: is effective in the treatment of both nervous exhaustion and sleeplessness.
  • Petasites off: has a sedative action and counteracts sleeplessness.

Ingredients

Ingredient Homeopathic Clinical Indication*
Avena sativa D2 (Common oat) Favourably influences the nutritive function of the brain and nervous system. For nervous exhaustion (‘brain-fag’). Tonic for debility after exhausting diseases. Insomnia after drug or alcohol withdrawal. Insomnia after mental exhaustion (‘tired but wired’).
Passiflora incarnata D2 (Passion flower) Calms the nervous system, with antispasmodic action. Hysterical states and mental restlessness. Restless sleepers. Insomnia in mentally worried and over-worked persons.
Petasites officinalis D4 (Butter-burr) Effects from anger, mental insecurity and restlessness. Withdrawal from alcohol. Antispasmodic action. Restless sleep disturbed by dreams.
Zincum valerianicum D6 (Valerinate of zinc) Overexcitement. Mentally distressed. Groundless fear. Hysteria from pain or neuralgia. Sleeplessness in children with fear in evening when sitting in the dark and frequent waking at night. Sleeplessness from headaches. Semi-conscious sleep – hears everything – wakes from slightest noise.

Dosage

Adults and children over 12 years:
Take 10 drops on the tongue, or directly under the tongue or in a teaspoon of water 4 times daily 15 minutes before meals. Discontinue once improvement occurs.

Children 6-12 years:
Take 5 drops on the tongue, or directly under the tongue or in a teaspoon of water 4 times daily 15 minutes before meals.

Children 2-6 years:
Take 2 drops on the tongue, or directly under the tongue or in a teaspoon of water 4 times daily 15 minutes before meals.

In acute/severe cases:
Take the relevant number of drops according to your/your child’s age hourly, gradually reducing frequency as improvement occurs, or as directed by your doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare provider.
